ABB is enhancing its digital solution “My Measurement Assistant+” with new functionalities designed for industrial maintenance. The application provides technicians and engineers with real-time, device-specific support and enables them to resolve common technical issues efficiently. The update includes expanded condition monitoring, dynamic QR code functionality, and predictive maintenance capabilities. The solution is used in industries such as chemicals, power, mining, and water and wastewater, where operational reliability is critical.

AI-driven insights support industrial maintenance

“My Measurement Assistant+” is a web-based application that consolidates device health data, service history, and diagnostics in one place. Through integration with “ABB Genix Copilot”, a GenAI solution developed in collaboration with Microsoft, large volumes of data can be contextualized and used to support maintenance decisions. The application enables conversational interaction in multiple languages, including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, and Portuguese, providing users with fast access to analysis, recommendations, and technical insights.

Direct device access via dynamic QR codes

Users can access the application without installation by scanning a device-specific dynamic QR code. This provides immediate access to device status information and analytics functions. Through “ABB Genix Copilot”, users can retrieve maintenance recommendations, access spare parts information, and initiate ordering processes. In addition, the solution enables visual remote support, helping to resolve issues more quickly and reduce the need for on-site interventions.

AI enables the shift toward predictive industrial maintenance

“Our goal is to provide ABB’s industrial customers with the solutions they need to combat costly downtime, workforce skills gaps and lack of resources, as well as amplify human potential by introducing prescriptive maintenance possibilities,” says David Lincoln, Digital Lead at ABB’s Measurement & Analytics division. The integration of AI technologies supports the transition from reactive maintenance approaches to data-driven, predictive strategies, enabling more efficient and proactive operations.

Integration into emissions monitoring applications

“My Measurement Assistant+” and Copilot are also integrated with “Genix Datalyzer”, ABB’s fleet monitoring platform for emissions monitoring applications. The platform processes live data and provides visualizations that support informed decision-making and operational transparency. “By integrating Copilot and agentic AI built on Microsoft Foundry into My Measurement Assistant+ and Genix Datalyzer, ABB is helping maintenance teams move from reactive troubleshooting to prescriptive, data-driven action. Customers see faster issue resolution, less downtime, and greater asset reliability, turning industrial data into practical guidance for critical operations,” adds Dayan Rodriguez, Corporate Vice President, Manufacturing and Mobility, Microsoft.

Industrial maintenance enhanced by data and cybersecurity

In addition to analytics capabilities, the platform includes a cybersecurity dashboard that provides visibility into implemented security measures and the protection of assets and data. This enables companies to address security aspects alongside maintenance requirements. The combination of AI-driven analytics, integrated data processing, and security features supports more efficient and transparent industrial maintenance processes.
