At the tenth annual IoT Breakthrough Awards, Emerson was honored as “Industrial IoT Company of the Year 2026.” The award recognizes the manufacturer for its innovative strength and its contribution to shaping the future of AI-powered, autonomous operations in industrial environments. With the acquisition of Aspen Technology, the company has become a leading global provider of automation solutions with a cross-technology portfolio.

Emerson offers a comprehensive technology portfolio for the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT). This includes smart devices, secure control systems, and software for business optimization. The portfolio supports critical industries worldwide in the secure, reliable, and trustworthy digitization and modernization of their operations. These include energy, liquefied natural gas, life sciences, chemicals, aerospace, and the semiconductor industry. Emerson relies on software-defined, data-centric platforms. These enable faster implementation of new technologies and promote AI-based optimizations and autonomous forms of operation.

Emerson has been named “Industrial IoT Company of the Year” for the seventh time. The company had previously received honors for “Industrial Innovation of the Year” and “Analytics Platform of the Year” as part of the IoT Breakthrough Awards program. For a decade, the IoT Breakthrough Awards have recognized outstanding achievements, creative solutions, and significant successes by IoT companies, technologies, and products. This year, more than 4,000 applications were received from around the world.
