 
  Evonik has opened a new production facility for pyrogenic alumina in Yokkaichi. It is the company's first plant of this type in Asia. The investment, in the mid double-digit million Euro range, aims to bring production closer to Asian customers. New Evonik plant expands capacity in Asia
With the construction of the new “Alu5” plant, Evonik is pursuing a consistent regional approach. The plant is specially designed for the production of pyrogenic alumina, materials that are used in particular in electromobility, consumer electronics, and powder coating. Aluminum oxide as a key component for future technologies
Pyrogenic aluminum oxide is used, among other things, for ultra-thin coatings, for example in batteries and high-quality coating systems. It improves the efficiency and service life of end products and enables durable, resource-saving applications. It thus contributes to reducing material usage and environmental impact in various industries.
