Siemens and Capgemini expand their strategic collaboration to support companies on their journey to digital and AI-based manufacturing. The focus is on developing AI-native solutions that integrate artificial intelligence into processes and systems from the outset. The goal is to make manufacturing systems more flexible, scalable, resilient, and sustainable.
Siemens and Capgemini combine their expertise
Through close cooperation, the partners are combining Siemens' portfolio of industrial software, automation, and sustainability with Capgemini's engineering expertise and industry knowledge. Together, they are working on solutions for 16 key application areas, such as improving production efficiency, reducing time to market, and optimizing quality.
Use of orchestrated AI agents in manufacturing
“For our customers Capgemini is like a compass – deeply familiar with our customers’ challenges and ambitions. Siemens provides the engine: Technologies like industrial AI, digital twins, and automation,” says Cedrik Neike, CEO of Digital Industries and Member of the Managing Board of Siemens. “Together, we guide our customers through their digital transformation with speed, precision, and a clear course toward the future.”
One focus of the partnership is the use of orchestrated AI agents. These are specialized AI programs that cooperate with each other to make cross-departmental processes more efficient, for example. This technology is intended in particular to enable the integration of previously separate IT and production systems.
Projects already underway demonstrate the effectiveness of the partnership:
- Four industrial sites are being decarbonized for Airbus. Siemens technologies are expected to reduce energy consumption by 20 percent and CO2 emissions by 85 percent by 2030. Capgemini is providing consulting and project management services.
- Sanofi is digitizing and standardizing its production processes worldwide. Digital batch documentation reduces review time by 70 percent and the error rate by 80 percent.
- French iron manufacturer GravitHy is digitizing its industrial production, which will reduce hydrogen production costs by up to 10 percent, among other benefits.
Siemens and Capgemini focus on key industries and new markets
The two players' partnership is aimed in particular at key industries such as aerospace, automotive, and life sciences. At the same time, new growth areas such as the hydrogen economy and water and wastewater management are being tapped. Capgemini is specifically expanding its capacities in the area of Siemens technologies for this purpose.
Joint go-to-market model in over 20 countries
The companies are building on an established partnership that has existed for almost two decades. Their joint go-to-market model already serves over 100 customers in more than 20 countries. The goal is to consistently drive industrial transformation through Siemens technologies and Capgemini's implementation expertise.
