Wittmann establishes sales and service subsidiary in Vietnam

Managing director of the new subsidiary is Giang An Le

The Wittmann Group is strengthening its market presence in Southeast Asia by establishing its own sales and service branch in Vietnam. "Vietnam continues to gain in importance as a production location for the injection moulding industry," emphasizes Michael Wittmann, owner and Managing Director of the Wittmann Group. "We are responding to this trend with the establishment of Wittmann Vietnam Co, Ltd in Ho Chi Minh City. This will enable us to serve our local customers even more intensively and provide flexible support for the construction of new production plants. With this step, we will further expand our customer base in Southeast Asia."

The plastics industry in Vietnam has already experienced dynamic development in recent years. Wittmann is building on a large existing local customer base. The company has had a representative office in Vietnam since 2015, and the cooperation with Tao Bangkok (Vietnam) will be continued. Wittmann thus ensures a high degree of continuity and security for its customers in the region.

Giang An Le takes over Wittmann management in Vietnam

Managing Director of the new subsidiary is Giang An Le. He will now gradually expand the sales and service network in Vietnam. The electrical engineering graduate has 20 years of experience in international production and mechanical engineering companies with a focus on the plastics industry. As a German citizen with Vietnamese roots, Giang An Le is at home in both Asian and European culture.

Ho Chi Minh City is developing into a hub for plastics industry

Ho Chi Minh City is located in the south of Vietnam and thus in an important center of the plastics industry. The new branch is located in the Tan Binh District in the immediate vicinity of the international airport. This means that Wittmann in Vietnam is also very easy to reach for international customers. Numerous global companies are setting up new production sites in Vietnam, including many companies that already use injection molding machines, robots and peripheral equipment from the Wittmann Group in other countries.

Wittmann meets demand with automation solutions for plastics processing

"With our extensive overall solution know-how and expertise in supplying complete production cells from a single source, we can provide excellent support to both these companies and local plastics processors," says Wittmann. "Efficiency and quality requirements are continuously increasing in South East Asia. Innovative processing technologies, automation solutions and application technology consulting are in corresponding demand."

Presence strengthened throughout Southeast Asia

With a total of nine branches and additional agencies, the company has a very strong presence throughout Asia and guarantees short distances to its customers in all industrial centers. In China, Wittmann operates its own production plant for robots and peripherals, which shortens delivery times and simplifies logistics for customers in Asia. At the same time as Wittmann Vietnam was founded, the Group strengthened its presence in the Philippines. Austro-Plast, based in Noveleta near Manila, was acquired as a new sales partner for the entire Wittmann product portfolio. AustroPlast has more than 20 years of experience in the plastics processing industry in the Philippines.
