Dow returns to Intersolar Europe 2023, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry, to showcase solutions which can help support the global transition towards energy efficiency. These offerings are designed to enable photovoltaic module and component manufacturers to decrease the carbon emissions of photovoltaic components throughout their life cycle while also increasing their power generation, protection, and durability.

Under the theme “Path 2 Zero: Decarbonize & Grow”, Dow will exhibit its commitment towards innovative low-carbon solutions in the renewable energy industry. Dow is accelerating investments in transformative next-generation renewable technologies to achieve net zero and is on track to reach its global target of sourcing 750MW of renewable power capacity by 2025.

Dow solutions drive global energy efficiency transition in photovoltaics industry

“Dow solutions, when applied by our customers and value chain partners in the photovoltaics industry, can help accelerate the global transition towards energy efficiency,” said Enrique Torres, Marketing Lead for Sustainability and Renewable Energies in Europe, Middle-East and Africa. “These solutions can help enable photovoltaic module makers to meet both short-term and long-term specific business and sustainability goals thanks to our long-time global expertise in the solar energy value chain. We are developing new generations of solutions using different feedstocks including circular and renewable raw materials to help enable the reduction of CO2 emissions. We’re excited to return to Intersolar Europe 2023 to connect with our customers and value chain partners to discuss how we can work together to reach our joint vision of Path 2 Zero.”

Dow’s exhibits at Intersolar Europe 2023 as part of “The smarter E Europe” trade fair association will comprise of a complete offering of solutions in the solar energy industry with proven sustainability outcomes:

  • Engage PV polyolefin elastomers (POE); proven materials that support photovoltaic modules with exceptional protection, long-term performance, and reliability at a lower overall system lifetime cost.
  • Dowsil silicones that offer exceptional longevity and protection to photovoltaic module components.
  • Adcote adhesives for backsheet lamination in photovoltaic panels provide electrical insulation of the system and therefore increased durability.
  • SI-Link compounds for photovoltaic wires allow by-product reduction in the manufacturing process leading to improved production efficiency
