The Hydrogen Dialogue trade event will move from Nuremberg to Munich in 2026 and become an integral part of “The smarter E Europe,” Europe’s largest trade fair alliance for the energy industry. This brings the platform for hydrogen technologies and applications closer to key players in the renewable energy sector and sends a strong signal about the growing interconnectedness within the energy sector.
Integration of the Hydrogen Dialogue into “ees Europe” creates synergies
The Hydrogen Dialogue will be integrated into “ees Europe,” which will take place from June 23 to 25, 2026, at Messe München. Organizers expect more than 2,800 exhibitors and over 100,000 trade visitors. The integration of the established hydrogen platform is intended to more closely interlink knowledge, innovation, and market development. Existing formats such as the Summit, the Expo, and industry networks will be retained and further developed.
Relocation as a Strategic Move
With the move to Munich, the trade fair is strengthening its position in the international context. The integration into the trade fair alliance with Intersolar Europe, “Power2Drive Europe,” and EM-Power Europe follows the trend toward cross-sector energy use. Hydrogen is considered an important energy carrier for the long-term storage and flexible provision of renewable energy.
Organizers see significant potential
Solar Promotion, the organizer of “The smarter E Europe,” and FWTM see significant synergy potential for the entire hydrogen value chain in this integration. The goal is to advance concrete projects and strengthen international competitiveness. Messe Nürnberg, the previous organizer of the Hydrogen Dialogue, is handing over the format in close partnership and ensuring its continuation under new conditions.
Markus Elsässer, Managing Director of Solar Promotion, explains: “The synergies between the Hydrogen Dialogue and our existing exhibitions are enormous. Together, we are providing the entire hydrogen value chain, from production to application, with a wide-reaching platform, further driving the implementation of concrete projects for a climate-friendly, resilient and competitive economic system at the European level.”
“H2.B” supports the reorientation of the Hydrogen Dialogue
The “Zentrum Wasserstoff.Bayern” (“H2.B”) is the conceptual sponsor of the event and expressly welcomes the move to Munich. The new location increases the visibility of the Bavarian hydrogen ecosystem. According to “H2.B” Managing Director Dr. Fabian Pfaffenberger, the integration into “The smarter E Europe” promotes international exchange and the development of the hydrogen economy.
Hydrogen Dialogue Remains a Key Industry Platform
The Hydrogen Dialogue Summit will take place in the future as an official side event at the International Congress Center Messe München. A joint “H2.B” booth will serve as a hub for national and international stakeholders. Additional formats such as the Hydrogen Dialogue Forum, delegation programs, and trade show tours are designed to ensure high visibility and networking opportunities. The next edition of “The smarter E Europe,” including “ees Europe,” Intersolar Europe, “Power2Drive Europe,” and EM-Power Europe, will take place from June 23 to 25, 2026, at the Munich Exhibition Center. The Hydrogen Dialogue Summit is scheduled for June 24 and 25, 2026.
