The leading trade fair for the meat and protein industry Iffa takes place every three years

Iffa is the leading international trade fair for the meat and protein industry and will take place again from May 3 to 8, 2025. Every three years, it gathers the entire industry in Frankfurt am Main and presents innovative solutions for safe, healthy and economical production of meat, meat products and plant proteins. The topic of alternative proteins from plants has been an integral part of the world's leading trade fair since 2022, as more and more food manufacturers worldwide are investing in products made from plant proteins. The requirements for quality, sensory properties and quantity demand complex solutions in the manufacturing process and for the ingredients.

Exhibitors at Iffa represent the entire value chain in the processing process and showcase innovations and solutions from the fields of process technology for meat and alternative proteins, packaging technology, weighing technology, process automation and IT solutions, robotics and handling technology, slaughtering and cutting technology, equipment and tools for slaughtering, cutting and processing, Natural and artificial casing processing machinery, spices, ingredients, auxiliary materials, casings, refrigeration technology, logistics and storage systems, food safety and quality control, cleaning equipment, industrial hygiene and occupational safety, energy management and utilities for water, compressed air, gases, sales and specialty stores, and products, facilities and equipment.

Review Iffa 2022

Despite difficult conditions such as the Ukraine war or the Corona pandemic, trade visitors from 129 countries came to Frankfurt in 2022. The largest visitor nations included the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Poland, the USA, Brazil, Austria, the UK, Switzerland and France. In total, around 50,000 trade fair visitors have obtained information at the leading international trade fair. They came from the entire meat processing industry as well as from manufacturers of plant-based alternative proteins, the butcher's trade, food retailers, wholesalers and foreign trade, slaughterhouses and cutting plants, the general food and beverage industry and a wide range of supplier industries.
