From September 23 to 25, 2025, the packaging industry will meet in Nuremberg for Fachpack. It is the European trade fair for packaging, technology, and processes. Around 1,400 exhibitors are expected in eleven exhibition halls. Ninety percent of the exhibition space is already booked. In addition to a wealth of products and services related to packaging, trade visitors can once again look forward to an exciting supporting program this year.
On the exhibitor side, Fachpack 2025 covers the entire packaging value chain. The focus is on packaging materials and packaging supplies as well as solutions from packaging technology. The two main segments are complemented by packaging printing and finishing as well as intralogistics. Visitors come from all packaging-intensive industries such as food and beverages, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, chemicals, healthcare and others.
Lively dialogue on the main theme of Fachpack
Phuong Anh Do, event manager at Fachpack, explains: “I am looking forward not just to the comprehensive, trailblazing trade fair but especially to the lively discussions about the main Fachpack theme ‘Transition in Packaging’. This dialogue is immensely important because the industry is undergoing a radical shift, and a sustainable digital transformation is unavoidable. And that is why here in Nuremberg in September, we will all come together again to discuss the important issues affecting the industry and provide new impetus about the potential opportunities of this transition and how they can be exploited, in keeping with the Fachpack slogan: ‘We create the future’.
Fachpack supporting program provides important impetus for an industry in transition
Participants at Fachpack 2025 can look forward to a varied supporting program. In the two Fachpack forums, industry experts will provide insights into current challenges and highlight opportunities and trends. They will also outline specific strategies and offer solutions to current issues. The Packbox will focus on future topics such as the use of artificial intelligence in development and production. It also offers strategies for implementing the EU packaging directive (PPWR), circular economy models and international market trends. Sustainable materials and regulatory developments will also be explored in depth. In the Innovationbox exhibitor forum, Fachpack exhibitors will once again present their new products and process innovations in short, concise presentations.
The “Alternative Packaging Solutions” pavilion will focus on packaging materials made from renewable raw materials
The “Women4Packaging” networking event will take place for the second time. The aim is to offer women in the industry, both exhibitors and trade visitors, a platform to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and empower one another. This year, the focus will be on doing, and various stations on different topics are planned. The “Alternative Packaging Solutions” pavilion in Hall 3 will be back again, focusing on packaging materials made from renewable raw materials and showcasing new developments in proven packaging materials. Fachpack is once again cooperating with the Pacoon agency, which will present focus topics relating to alternative and sustainable packaging solutions in the moderated Solpack 6.0 forum.
Student Day promotes interactive exchange between company representatives and students
Student Day will take place again on the third day of the trade fair in cooperation with the German Packaging Institute (dvi) at Fachpack. The aim of the event is to promote interactive exchange between company representatives and around 100 students from the fields of packaging technology, sustainability, and product design in direct discussions and workshops.
