Interpack 2029 is opening a new chapter. The world’s leading trade fair for processing and packaging will take place from June 10 to 15, 2029, moving to early summer. At the same time, the fair is shortening its duration to six days and, for the first time, will run from Sunday through Friday. With this move, Messe Düsseldorf is responding to the changing needs of international exhibitors and visitors and is aligning the event format even more closely with efficiency, high-quality business contacts, and international reach.

New trade fair concept for Interpack 2029

With the new dates and adjusted duration, Interpack 2029 is purposefully refining its event concept. Leading international trade fairs are increasingly faced with the challenge of organizing visit times efficiently while simultaneously intensifying professional exchange. The new format is designed to meet precisely these requirements and support the success of the trade fair for exhibitors and visitors alike. “Interpack is the most important platform in its sector. Building on this position, we are consistently developing the event further. We listen carefully to what exhibitors and visitors need and are creating a format that will support their success at the trade fair even more effectively. This is the first visible sign of that. Further innovations will follow,” says Thomas Dohse, Director of Interpack.

Interpack 2029 is tailored to the industry’s needs

The adjustments are based on intensive discussions with exhibiting companies as well as close coordination with the Interpack Advisory Board and international industry associations. In particular, there was a clear desire for a more compact event that fosters high-quality contacts and enables a more targeted use of time at the trade show. The combination of six trade show days and the new schedule from Sunday through Friday is intended to meet these requirements while further strengthening the trade show’s international appeal.

Early summer creates a new atmosphere for Interpack 2029

With the move to June, Interpack 2029 also gains a new seasonal setting. As a result, the outdoor areas and meeting spaces on the exhibition grounds are set to become even more of a gathering place for the international processing and packaging community. In addition to the new developments in the exhibition halls, discussions, networking, and business opportunities will benefit even more from the open atmosphere on the grounds in the future, underscoring the unique character of the world’s leading trade fair.

Continuous development remains an integral part of the packaging trade fair

Messe Düsseldorf views the continuous development of Interpack as a key factor for success. Close dialogue with exhibitors, visitors, and industry associations will continue to form the basis for the further development of the trade show format. With the new date and a more compact duration, Interpack 2029 marks the first visible step in a long-term development strategy; further innovations are set to follow in the coming years.
