Uhlmann finished the 2025/2026 financial year with revenue of €538 million. This represents an increase of seven percent, or €34 million, compared to the previous year. New orders totalled €493 million. According to the company, profitability also showed a positive trend. However, specific earnings figures were not disclosed. The group thus bucked the general economic trend in the German machinery and plant engineering sector. A major factor in this was the expansion of its product portfolio beyond traditional packaging machines.
Combination of machines, software and services supports efficient, future-proof customer processes
Prof. Dr. Matthias Niemeyer, CEO of the Uhlmann Group, explains that the Uhlmann group already offers much more than just packaging machines for sensitive products. With innovative solutions combining machines, software, and services, the company supports its customers in designing efficient and future-proof processes. The strong results show that the manufacturer is effectively addressing the needs of the market.
Uhlmann extends its portfolio for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors
A key focus of the company’s business development strategy is expanding its range of solutions for these industries. Under the motto 'Beyond Packaging', the group is increasingly integrating machines with software and services. At the same time, it is also entering new application areas in the consumer goods, food, and agricultural industries. Uhlmann Pac-Systeme, Koch Pac-Systeme, Cremer Special Machines, Wonder Packing, and Goldfuss Automation collaborate across multiple technology fields within the group. These include automation and robotics, artificial intelligence, and more sustainable packaging materials.
Collaboration within the Uhlmann Group aims to open up new application areas
By pooling diverse areas of expertise, the group is expanding its offerings beyond individual packaging machines. The focus is on providing customer-specific solutions and identifying additional market potential in various target industries. Tobias Uhlmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, adds that the company owes its growth in the past fiscal year primarily to its ability to develop and bring customer-specific solutions to market. Therefore, Uhlmann is cautiously optimistic about the current fiscal year.
