On this year’s CPhI Worldwide, BASF will launch and present its new web-based digital solutions, Zoomlab, Regxcellence and "MyProductWorld". An interdisciplinary team of chemists, pharmacists, regulatory specialists and digital experts developed the products from lab to reality. During the show BASF will also announce that all oleochemicals excipients supplied to the Pharmaceutical industry will be certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) as of November 2019.

Zoomlab represents a new online predictive tool which helps pharmaceutical drug formulators be more efficient. The solution eliminates pre-formulation trial & error steps and resources during the drug development phase. With the launch version of the app, formulators will be able to instantly predict uncoated tablet formulations for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in Biopharmaceutics Classification System (BCS) Classes I, high solubility and high permeability, & III, high solubility and low permeability.

To simplify the compliance process, BASF is launching Regxcellence. It is a comprehensive regulatory and quality portal that gives customers the ability to instantly download documents, find audit information and have a compliance overview of the customer’s portfolio. "MyProductWorld" offers an interactive and easy-to-use online navigator to find a suitable product solution to their formulation challenges. Customers will also be able to access comprehensive information about all of BASF’s products. The web-based platforms are free.

“We are inviting our customers to embrace and experiment the digital solutions we developed based on their needs and requests. With our digital solutions, we are making our expertise in the excipient area available 24/7 to the pharmaceutical industry, to be consumed according to our customers’ needs,” says Brett Burns, BASF Global Strategic Marketing Manager.
