Humanoid Robotics is moving rapidly from research labs into industrial and everyday applications. To accelerate this transition, a Humanoid Robotics Data Training Center has been launched in Beijing. The initiative combines technology R&D, application testing, operator training, and ecosystem collaboration. Realman Robotics plays a central role in both deployment and operations of the new facility.
Large-Scale Facility for Humanoid Robotics
Covering 3,000 square meters, the center features both training and application zones. A total of 108 robots have already been deployed, including dual-arm lifting robots, wheeled humanoids, drone-arm systems, and quadruped robotic platforms.
Real-World Environments for Humanoid Robotics Training
To generate realistic training data, the facility includes ten real-world environments. These cover eldercare, rehabilitation, special operations, new retail, automotive assembly, and smart catering. Together, they are expected to deliver more than one million multimodal data points annually, supporting AI model training for Humanoid Robotics.
Tackling Bottlenecks in Humanoid Robotics
The initiative aims to address three key challenges:
- Limited cross-scenario data generalization
- Gaps between simulation and real-world performance
- Lack of standardized data formats and efficient iteration
A full-stack data pipeline - from collection and training to validation and deployment - is designed to accelerate the commercialization of Humanoid Robotics.
Open Day Insights: The “Endgame” of Robotics
At the center’s Open Day, Eric Zheng, Director of the Humanoid Robotics Data Training Center, outlined the hurdles preventing robots from scaling into daily life: “Robots face three enduring bottlenecks before they can scale into everyday life: operational capability, generalization, and cost efficiency,” Zheng noted. “Traditional industrial arms are heavy and expensive, service robots remain too simplistic, and most lack the adaptability of humans in complex environments. Long deployment cycles and poor scenario adaptability, combined with high costs, continue to limit adoption.” He stressed that breakthroughs in robot design and large-scale real-world data generation are essential for progress.
Realbot Platform for Embodied Intelligence
In response, Realman Robotics launched the Realbot Embodied Intelligence Open Platform. By integrating remote teleoperation systems, it enables high-quality data acquisition and new models of human-robot collaboration. This represents a shift from robots “reliant on humans,” to “assisting humans,” and ultimately to “empowering humans.”
Toward a Global Humanoid Robotics Ecosystem
Looking ahead, the training center will expand industry-academia collaboration, mobilize ecosystem resources, and foster co-creation. These steps aim to accelerate global adoption of Humanoid Robotics and promote sustainable industry development.
