The manufacturing of dairy products places the highest demands on the quality and safety of equipment and processes. Especially with a large number of suppliers, regular inspections are the be-all and end-all of a safe production process. Milchwerke Schwaben also works according to this principle and uses metal detectors from Sesotec for the quality control of its dairy products. Metal detection at various control points is necessary to ensure the quality of dairy products. Butter and rice pudding, for example, are transported through raw pipelines before filling. Metal detectors are used to check that the products in the packaging are metal-free.
"P-SCAN RG" metal detectors from Sesotec are installed in the pipelines at various points and in various horizontal or vertical installation situations in production for the transport of butter and rice pudding. These detect magnetic and non-magnetic metal contaminants with high precision, thus ensuring product quality and protecting against complaints. The design in glass-beaded stainless steel with IP 65 protection meets food industry standards and can be easily adapted to any pipeline. The 34 different coil sizes for all common nominal pipe diameters allow integration into existing production lines.
The "GENIUS+" electronics, in combination with a metal detector, is a highly accurate, robust metal sensor. The automatic selection from two or three search frequencies provides the highest sensitivity for all types of metal, even when examining butter and rice pudding, where there is a high product effect due to the temperature. The beginnings of Milchwerke Schwaben go back a long way. As early as 1922, dairy farmers in Ulm decided to form a cooperative in order to produce their milk products even more efficiently. This merger resulted in a company whose products meet the taste of consumers not only in Germany, but also worldwide. For Milchwerke Schwaben, the farmers are not only suppliers of the raw material milk, but co-owners of the entire dairy. Over 800 milk suppliers deliver their fresh milk to the cooperative every day. Milchwerke Schwaben processes 410 million kilogamm of milk and whey annually. On average, the nearly 200 employees produce 65,000 tons of yogurt and dessert specialties, 5,000 tons of butter, 33,000 tons of cheese and 23,000 tons of milk and whey powder per year.
